HEALING, COUNCIL, COMMUNITY, PEACEMAKING
Daré is the Shona (African indigenous people from Zimbabwe) word for council.
Daré needs to be experienced in order to be known.
No rules, protocols, minutes, legislation,
organization, statements of purpose, tax deductions, agendas.
Chanting, drumming, dancing, meditation, prayer, stories, listening, council...
The strength and essence of Daré is in the circle, and Council is its heart.
The purpose of Council is to seek answers from the community we can’t find alone.
In Council one always speaks from the heart
and allows spirits and ancestors to come through.
Asking and addressing a single questions coheres the community.
Everyone is listened to and heard without judgment.
Everyone is welcome and welcomed.
Daré is where each person’s genius, intelligence and uniqueness
is sought out, acknowledged and called forth.
Bring food (organic if possible for two meals) & drink
(no alcohol please) and musical instruments!
